She will assume Jeff Glor's position as anchor of the "CBS Evening News" according to CBS News and will also be a contributing correspondent for "60 Minutes".

O'Donnell, who will replace Jeff Glor, will be the network's lead anchor for political coverage of the primaries and election nights and continue as a contributing correspondent for "60 Minutes", the most-watched news broadcast.

King will be joined by Anthony Mason and Tony Dokoupil as co-hosts of "CBS This Morning". "I actually called up her lawyer, Allen Grubman, and I said, 'Allen, she should get what she wants.' And Allen goes, 'What the F do you think I'm doing here?"

With O'Donnell moving to the evening, Gayle King will be at the center of the revamped morning show.

Zirinsky also said the network is discussing opportunities in NY for Jeff Glor, the current anchor of "CBS Evening News".

John Dickerson was the newest of the CBS This Morning anchors, having taken a permanent position on the news program in January 2018, two months after Charlie Rose was sacked.

John Dickerson, now a co-host in the morning, will shift roles to report for "60 Minutes" and contribute to election specials.

"Gayle's game-changing interviews, compassionate storytelling and authenticity make her one of a kind".

Reps for CBS News declined to comment.
