In the TMZ article, an unnamed Jackson family source said the supposed suicide attempt was a result of the fallout over the recent HBO documentary Leaving Neverland, which includes graphic allegations of repeated sexual abuse of minors by the late pop superstar.
TMZ reported, based on family and law enforcement sources, that emergency officials responded to her home Saturday morning before she was transferred to the hospital and placed on a 5150 hold.
While people continue to search for more information that either validates or nullifies the initial report, many across the world are praying for Paris Jackson as they naturally conclude this is a hard time for her and her siblings.
Paris has remained relatively silent since the documentary's release, with sources saying she has not watched it, and her only response on Twitter has been to tell fans to chill out and not to jump to conclusions.
Jackson responded to a Twitter user, who pointed out that she hasn't spoken publically about the documentary.
She also tweeted a lot of question marks, in apparent disbelief over what could be called fake news, with an unamused emoji.
"There's nothing I can say that hasn't already been said in regards to defense", Jackson wrote.
Leaving Neverland, which aired on HBO on March 3 and 4, featured interviews with Jackson accusers James Safechuck and Wade Robson.
Paris Jackson is Michael Jackson's second-born child and only daughter. Since Leaving Neverland first hit the airwaves, Paris' father Michael Jackson has become the subject of a reactionary movement aimed at muting his legacy and influence.
