Some areas around Seattle recieved more than 10 inches of snow Saturday, the most in 70 years, the National Weather Service said, and more is on the way two more storm systems close in on the area. More than a foot of snow (30.5 cm) was recorded by Saturday morning in some areas, including on the Olympic Peninsula, in the nation's latest bout of winter weather.
"Rush hour during the morning Tuesday as well as later that night will be very hard and slow due to another heavy snowfall", Yuhas said.

In Portland, a tanker truck blocked a ramp for hours after sliding into a vehicle on an interchange between Interstates 5 and 84. Hawaii News Now reported that the surf was forecast to top out at 60 feet (18 metres) on Sunday.
"There is going to be a major snow event over much of the Pacific Northwest", Cliff Mass, a University of Washington meteorologist, wrote in his blog. "Use light rail if you are in Seattle".
In Tualatin, Ore., resident Autumn Sang was mobbed during a visit to a grocery store to stock up on supplies. "I think that Portlanders, majority are city people and they come from a lot of different places, so they're not so used to it".
