The club is seemingly short of funds and this week, a number of reports have claimed that the Gunners can only sign players on loan in this January window, something which Unai Emery confirmed. "But we can only sign players on loan", Emery is quoted as saying by the Mirror. His response has been very good in training and matches with good performances.
"We can not sign anyone permanently".
Emery also offered an update on Aaron Ramsey following suggestions the midfielder is set to join Juventus in the summer after reportedly singing a £140,000 a week, five-year contract with the Italian champions. "I can not tell you more".
"But the £100m spent to sign those players last season and hefty wages given to other star players has led to this situation".
"I am happy because another player can have chances when one player is injured and they are doing well, that is the reason for us being calm and my confidence with the club is big, they are working and if one or two players can come and help us that is ideal".
Paul Merson is tipping Arsenal to drop points at West Ham on Saturday afternoon.
"I respect his decision a lot". Ozil has not played for Arsenal since picking up a knee injury in the' 1-1 draw at Brighton on Boxing Day.
"We both spoke about the situation with respect from him and from us".
Of the ones dearly missed by Arsenal have been the likes of Hector Bellerin and Shkodran Mustafi, both of whom have returned alongside Nacho Monreal, Konstantinos Mavropanos and Laurent Koscielny, giving the Arsenal manager several options at the back.
