The first official teaser of the upcoming season of HBO's hugely popular Game of Thrones is here. The Night King's (Vladimir Furdik in Season 6) army is heading south, and a battle appears to be imminent. The ice takes over the dire wolf meaning Stark and the dragon which represents Viserion. Soon, we see a lion, representing the Lannisters, getting torched in fire.
There, Benioff and Weiss revealed how they first imagined the series ending at the end of the third season. It doesn't contain any new footage, so those looking to avoid spoilers don't have anything to worry about. Game of Thrones season 8 will premiere sometime in April 2019.
HBO unveiled the trailer at the São Paulo's Comic Con today and it's enough to get fans ready for winter to come around more than ever. The teaser starts with Ice capturing the Stark and Westeros. That, or the PR team at HBO is really harping on the whole "A Song of Ice and Fire" thing (the name of the book series that the show is based on) before the series concludes. The season 8 coming in April 2019 is being highly anticipated by the fans and they all are craving for a properly finished trailer for the last season.
Towards the end of the teaser, a wall of dragon glass is formed when the waves of fire and ice finally meet.
