Petr Cech (Arsenal): The veteran stopper has had his fair share of criticism this season, but we saw an old fashioned goalkeeping display of the highest order at the Emirates from Cech.
Lucas Torreira wasted no time making a mark on first Premier League start as he was deservedly booked inside 15 minutes by referee Jon Moss for a careless lunge before Moss lectured Granit Xhaka shortly afterwards for an over-zealous challenge.
"We've won two matches away and that's small progress, but very important for continuing to improve our confidence".
"They didn't win that important match [against West Ham] but maybe this is why they can be more unsafe to us because they come here and need to show their supporters that they are better than the last match".
Head coach Emery restored Petr Cech to the No1 goalkeepers spot after Bernd Leno made his bow in the 4-2 Europa League victory over Vorksla in the opening match of Group E on Thursday at the Emirates.
Silva will get an extended period of rest to figure out how Everton can win their first points in September - while Emery is bound to rotate heavily as the Gunners welcome Brentford on Wednesday night in the League Cup. They can both score all sorts of goals. The duo of Aubameyang and Lacazette seem to be promising performers, helping the team register wins in recent games.
Emery said he had been about to make a substitution just before the first goal and, when asked whether he would have taken Lacazette off, said: "Maybe, yeah".
"We were in control in that moment".
However, Sokratis picked-up a knock to his knee midway through the first half and while he tried to soldier on after receiving some treatment from the physio, the defender was eventually forced off in the 39th minute to be replaced by Rob Holding.
'I'm not sure anyone has done that tonight [shown they deserve to be in the first team],' Keown said on BT Sport.
That is not something that many other teams can say.
I know they tried to sign Olivier Giroud from Arsenal before he eventually joined Chelsea, and another Gunners forward Alexis Sanchez was also a target before he moved to Manchester United.
"I think my performances in training are good".
However, if Everton's defence is not much better than it was last weekend, another disappointing result could take the shine off any performance for the travelling support.
Not long after the opener, he scored his second and Arsenal's third when he coolly converted from outside the penalty box.
"We had three or four clear chances".
But Nicholas is disappointed he is not getting more chances to play as a central striker and feels a return to his boyhood club Southampton would have been a better fit for him.
