Ginobili was the final holdover from the Spurs' almost twenty year run of success.
Odell Beckham Jr has agreed to a five-year extension with the New York Giants, ESPN reported on Monday. To make him the highest paid receiver, he needed a guaranteed package of more than the $55 million commandeered by Tampa Bay's Mike Evans and/or an average annual salary north of the $17 million figure commanded by Pittsburgh's Antonio Brown.
Beckham, who missed most of last season after he fractured his left ankle, is entering his fifth National Football League campaign after being selected 12th overall by the Giants in 2014.
"Honestly, I don't even know how to explain it", Beckham said in a statement.
Odell Beckham Jr. didn't want to set foot on the field until he got a new contract. "I don't know if it's a relief, I don't know - it's a combination of everything".
The deal opens the door for Beckham to make a return to the field for the September 9 season opener against the Jacksonville Jaguars. "You've worked all your life to get to this point and it's finally here".
Beckham, 25, had at least 90 catches, 1,300 yards and 10 touchdowns in each of his first three professional seasons. Brandin Cooks (Rams) all also reportedly earn more than $16 million annually.
Beckham and his teammates celebrated appropriately in the locker room.
During this past offseason, Beckham seemed to mature. After the news broke of OBJ's massive extension worth $95 million, the G-Men made a decision to throw an absolute party in the locker room, which was led by none other than the talented wide receiver.
