Manchester United have held an interest in the Colombia worldwide as Jose Mourinho looks to bring in a new centre-back before the end of the transfer window, but it appears that Everton are leading the race to sign the 23-year-old.
Elsewhere, the Sun on Sunday claims Mourinho is in "panic mode" five days before the transfer window closes after United's £35m deal for Barcelona defender Yerry Mina collapsed. And despite being a centre-back, he also scored two other times in the World Cup this summer.
The newspaper says both players are valued at around £75m and Mourinho is quietly confident a deal can be done as both Willian and Martial are keen for a fresh challenge this summer.
This summer the club have also since signed Clement Lenglet from Sevilla, a move that would make first-team opportunities for Mina even more hard. The Red Devils were embroiled in a tiff with Mina's adviser Felipe Russo, who refused to budge in on the extra payments involving him and the player when United's Matt Judge got in cahoots with him to settle a verbal agreement.
Mina is now 8/11 from 7/4 for Old Trafford move with Betway.
Manchester United are ready to launch a stunning bid to sign Willian by offering Chelsea Anthony Martial in return for the South American attacker, according to the Mirror.
New Everton signing Richarlison is known for his activity on social media, and he may have just dropped a big hint over the future of reported Toffees target Yerry Mina.
Alderweireld has been in a constant standoff with Spurs over the past year and this has now witnessed him enter the final year of his contract.
Jose Mourinho is back in the market for centre-half additions having brought in Eric Bailly and Victor Lindelof during the last two summers.
