Jorginho prefers a move to Manchester City over Chelsea, it has been claimed, despite the Blues offering more money for the Italy worldwide midfielder.
Conte won the Premier League in his first season at the club in 2017, followed by the FA Cup in May of this year.
According to Napolipiu, Chelsea have already thrashed out personal terms with the Italian.
However, unless something changes quickly, Chelsea will be landing the 26-year-old after everyone - even the player's own agent - had basically expected him to join Manchester City.
So with Chelsea having arranged pre-season preparations to start today, not many would have been expecting Antonio Conte to still be in charge.
Fellow Italian Maurizio Sarri has been the main man in the frame to succeed his fellow countryman, although Sky Sports Italy have reported that negotiations between Napoli and Chelsea regarding Sarri's appointment as Conte's potential replacement are in 'deadlock'.
However, the London Evening Standard says Sarri is the one who has approached Zola about a return to Stamford Bridge and not a member of the club's hierarchy.
Mateo Kovacic, now starring for Croatia in the World Cup and coming off a Champions League win at club level with Real Madrid is said to be an alternative for Manchester City should they miss out, as they look to replace the departed Yaya Toure and ageing Fernandinho in the centre of their midfield.
It remains to be seen where Jorginho will end up, as talks continue.
